House rules

These rooms are for music and conversation around Moolakii Club. Choose a nickname; you do not need an account. Every message and new thread waits for a station moderator to approve it.

• Be considerate. No harassment, threats, hate, bullying, sexual content, or encouragement of violence, self-harm or other harm.
• Do not post private contact details, identifying information about other people, scams, illegal material, or links to such material.
• Only share words and links you have permission to share. No spam or impersonation. The station name and moderator badge are reserved.
• Keep show discussions related to the show. Use the other rooms for discoveries, making music and general conversation.

There are no private messages, image uploads, audio uploads or automatic link previews in these rooms. Nicknames are not verified identities. Avoid sharing your age, location or other personal information.

Moderation and reporting

Messages appear only after review; approval may take time. We can decline or remove posts, close threads and restrict posting from a browser. Report a published message using its report button. Reporting temporarily hides it while it is reviewed. Reports and complaints can also be sent to moolakiiclub+radio@gmail.com. Include the thread and message, and explain the concern.

Jez Thelwell is responsible for moderation for Moolakii Club. To ask for a decision to be reviewed, use the same contact address and explain which decision you are appealing. Criticism and disagreement are welcome when they follow these rules.

DISCUSSIONS AND LISTENING COUNTERS

Your information

Moolakii Club, operated by Jez Thelwell, is responsible for the information used in these discussions and counters. Contact moolakiiclub+radio@gmail.com about your information, a correction or removal request, or a privacy concern. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner at ico.org.uk.

Listening counts

The live counter shows stream connections and can include relay feeds. YouTube viewers are separate. The running total counts audio sessions started on this website, after at least ten seconds of playback. It includes repeat visits, excludes page views, and does not identify unique people. A reconnect during the same visit does not add another listen.

This counter uses a random reference held in the page’s memory, with no listening-counter cookie and no cross-site tracking. Session references and times are kept for up to 30 days, then only an aggregate count is retained. The audio host receives the connection information necessary to deliver the stream.

Genre ratings

Optional genre ratings use the same necessary browser reference as discussions, created when you submit a rating. We keep one editable selection per browser and recording for up to 90 days, with public aggregate counts only. Five browser ratings and 70% support can add a genre during the nightly update; existing tags are retained. Clearing cookies or using another browser can count separately, so these are not verified unique people. Hashed network limits reduce repeated submissions; no raw IP is stored in the rating database. The owner can exclude a recording from automatic changes. Contact us about a rating or removal request.

Discussion posts

We store your chosen nickname, message, thread, submission time, review status and any reports. Approved posts and nicknames are public. Other visitors cannot see pending posts or private reports. A necessary, secure cookie remembers this browser’s discussion reference for up to 180 days, so it can show your pending messages and allow you to remove your own posts. Clearing it loses that connection.

We use this information to provide and moderate the rooms, handle reports and protect users, relying on our legitimate interests in running a safe music community. Messages are normally retained for up to one year; pending and removed messages for up to 30 days, reports for up to 90 days, and browser discussion records for up to 180 days. We may retain specific information longer where necessary for a legal obligation or an active complaint.

Short-lived, hashed network references help limit spam and abuse; raw IP addresses are not stored in the discussion database. The hosting and streaming services necessarily receive technical connection information. The website is hosted through ChatGPT Sites using Cloudflare; their service infrastructure may process data internationally under their applicable data-protection safeguards. Information is not sold or used by Moolakii Club for targeted advertising.

Requests for access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection can be sent to the contact above. Please identify the relevant thread or message; do not send passwords or identity documents in a public post. The existing music-submission form provides its own submission information.
